Selection rules

Your entry must follow all three rules before it can be submitted.

Select exactly nine teams

Your Footy9 entry is made up of nine teams for the gameweek.

Maximum three per league

Spread your choices across the available competitions—you cannot select more than three teams from one league.

One team per fixture

You cannot select both sides from the same match. Choose the team you believe will deliver.

GAMEWEEK POINTS

How scoring works

Every selected team contributes to your total.

WIN+3

Your selected team wins its fixture.

GOALLESS DRAW+1

The match finishes 0–0.

SCORE DRAW+2

Both teams score and the match is drawn.

SCORE 4++5

Your selected team scores four or more goals.

CONCEDE 4+−5

Your selected team concedes four or more goals.

POSTPONED+2

Your selected team’s match is postponed.

The 4+ score is a bonus. It is applied alongside the normal match-result points. The 4+ conceded penalty is also applied where relevant.

LEVEL ON POINTS?

Tiebreakers

If players finish on the same points, these tiebreakers are applied in order.

    Goal differenceThe combined goal difference of your nine selected teams.

    Goals scoredThe total number of goals scored by your selected teams.
  3. 3
    Teams that scored 4+The number of selected teams that scored four or more goals.
  4. 4
    Away winsThe number of your selected teams that won away from home.
SCORING EXAMPLE

A big away win can make the difference

If one of your selected teams wins 4–1 away from home, it earns the win points and the 4+ scoring bonus. It also counts towards the 4+ goals teams tiebreaker if your gameweek total is tied.
